” We have been using the Seedlings service for a number of months now, So far, has fully completed work with one child and is continuing to work with two others. The children love going to see their therapist and get really excited for their sessions. I have noticed a dramatic change in their attitude/behaviour since beginning their sessions. One of our children was having a hard time coping with his mum and dad’s break up. Since completing his sessions he is like a new child with a whole new lease on life. He is much more vocal and expressive with his feelings and is much happier now. Another one of our children is still undergoing work with seedlings, however since starting his sessions he is now much calmer, happier and more conscientious in class- which I know will only improve as his sessions continue. The service overall has been a blessing and I cannot praise it enough, it is much needed in an area with high parental mental health rates/deprivation. Early intervention is the key to a positive future for these children and that is what seedlings provides. I will be recommending the service to everyone.”
”Seedlings have been involved with three of our pupils; one has now ended therapy sessions and the outcome was very good. The child really enjoyed the session and there has been a marked difference in behaviour. Of the other two pupils, one is longer term involvement and more complex and the other is only just beginning. In all cases, we have been impressed with the approach, delivery and commitment of the therapist, She always displays genuine interest and caring towards our pupils and their families and has built up good relationships with them. The children value the sessions and really look forward to them. We sincerely hope that seedlings will be able to continue their work in our school as we value it highly”
”The seedlings project has really helped my daughter open up and deal with her emotions. She has developed a great relationship with the therapist and I feel that during the 8 weeks has also got to know well and has gained an understanding of her needs. Her confidence has grown and she is now opening up within school to address her needs which is a major improvement. The Seedlings therapist has also taken time to talk to teachers about the child’s needs and has helped us gain more of an understanding of our pupil and how we can support her. This type of intervention is essential to allow children to explore their feelings and develop strategies to help them cope and deal with daily life, and I would like to highly recommend it. The therapist also went the extra mile to speak to an OT who is involved with the child and I would like to thank the therapist for this”
”It was really good because my tears went down to zero”
