The Sanctuary at the Mosaic Clubhouse provides out-of-hours mental health crisis support to residents of the London borough of Lambeth. The service sees adults over 18 years and provides a non-clinical, comfortable and welcoming environment, paying particular attention to the needs of diverse groups and those from black, Asian and minority ethnic communities. The Sanctuary is staffed by peer support workers from Solidarity in a Crisis and members and support workers from the Mosaic Clubhouse, a community service that provides support and opportunities for people living with mental health problems

The Sanctuary at the Mosaic Clubhouse (Lambeth)

The Sanctuary at the Mosaic Clubhouse provides out-of-hours mental health crisis support to residents of the London borough of Lambeth. The service sees adults over 18 years and provides a non-clinical, comfortable and welcoming environment, paying particular attention to the needs of diverse groups and those from black, Asian and minority ethnic communities. The Sanctuary is staffed by peer support workers from Solidarity in a Crisis and members and support workers from the Mosaic Clubhouse, a community service that provides support and opportunities for people living with mental health problems. The Sanctuary is open five nights a week, from Wednesday to Sunday between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 2.00 a.m. People experiencing a mental health crisis can access people to talk to, information and signposting and various therapeutic activities including exercise classes, art sessions and relaxation. Referrals to the Sanctuary can be made by liaison mental health teams in EDs, the Lambeth Home Treatment Team, local street triage services and the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust 24-hour mental health helpline. The Sanctuary can provide transport to and from the Mosaic Clubhouse if required.
